E-Filing Update
Oct. 29, 2014

TrueFiling to Expand to Additinal Courts
report submitted to the Court Technology Advisory Committee for its October 2014 meeting noted a rollout plan for expanding the TrueFiling appellate court electronic filing system to additional courts:
  • 5th DCA - Jan. '15;
  • 3rd DCA - mid-'15;
  • 6th DCA - prior to end of '15.
TrueFiling - Sorry, No Fee Waiver

Please remember that, unfortunately, panel attorneys are responsible for paying vendor fees to TrueFiling for each filing. All filing fees will be reimbursable and should be claimed on the “other” expense line of the compensation claim. Panel attorneys need to provide TrueFiling with a credit card or debit card to complete all e-filing transactions. Pre-paid debit cards, like debit cards tied to a bank account, are acceptable. Because panel attorneys will be reimbursed for e-filing vendor fees, there is no procedure for panel attorneys to apply for a fee waiver.
