There are several upcoming trainings that may be of interest to FDAP panel attorneys:
- On Saturday, September 22, 2012, the Pacific Juvenile Defender Center will be holding its "Ninth Annual Pacific Juvenile Defender Roundtable - Doing More, Doing it Better" at the USF School of Law. Topics include legislative and caselaw updates, competency, and a plenary talk on Roper, Graham, JDB, and Miller: Trial, Appellate, and Policy Implications." Register here.
- On Saturday, October 27, 2012, CACJ will present its annual Appellate Practice Seminar, to be held at the San Francisco State University downtown campus at the Westfield San Francisco Centre. Topics include the year in review, instructional error, IAC, child molestation cases, appeal of 1368 issues, habeas issues, and homicide law.
- On Friday, November, 9, 2012, the Bar Association of San Francisco will present the First District Appellate Symposium - The View From the Bench. According to the BASF registration matieral, "Justices from every Division of the First District Appellate Court of Appeal will address critical areas of practice, from nuts and bolts to recent developments such as the advent of e-filing." Topics include mediation, appellate briefs, writ petitions, e-filing, oral arguments, and a presiding justice roundtable on current practices and procedures.
