Clarification of Compensation Claim Time Entry
The California appellate projects have issued a memorandum to assist panel attorneys in entering their hours in the correct line items of their compensation claims. Topics covered include where to claim time for incomplete tasks, such as preparing for oral argument when oral argument is ultimately waived or habeas work when no habeas petition is filed. The memorandum also covers claiming communication time.
