FDAP TRAINING
SEMINAR ON SATURDAY, JANUARY 21st, 2006 The one-day seminar will have 6 hours of MCLE credit, including 1 hour of ethics. The seminar will cover a wide variety of topics, which should be of interest to panel members of all levels of experience. Included will also be an interesting panel discussion by long-time appellate practitioners, concerning their practices in a number of situations where there is no "legally required" correct course of action (e.g., do you raise issues of waiver in your AOB or wait until the Reply Brief to respond to AG waiver arguments; do you include in your initial letter to the client realistic information about how few appeals are successful; how do you respond to a hostile or overly-active client; and many other areas where practitioners may differ in their approaches). The cost of the seminar will be $85, which will include written materials and a catered lunch and snacks. This
seminar will be a good chance to greet and chat with other
panel attorneys and the FDAP staff attorneys, while getting
caught up on a variety of timely items relating to your
appellate practice. If you are interested in attending, please print and fill out this form and send it with a check for $85 made out to FDAP to: ATTN:
